Photos from a visit to Japan in March 2016. We landed at Itami Airport in Osaka. We then took a shuttle bus to Kyoto (about 45 minutes). From there, we took either the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) or the local JR train to travel about. Our travels went as follows: Kyoto > Hiroshima > Miyajima Island > Hakone > Fukushima > Tokyo.
It was a bit too fast paced but I'm already planning on going back.
I have to say that the food was terrific! Even train station sushi was incredible. We also felt very safe there. If my wife said she was going to go for a walk at 10:30 at night, I would not worry about her safety.
